Has anybody here played Fallout 2 with the Restoration Project mod? What’s it like? I’m considering firing up FO2 again, and I’m trying to decide whether I should install the mod or stick with the plain vanilla version of the game.

Played with it installed, it was great. Interesting stuff added.

On reflection i don’t have much to add to what i said. It’s good, you should use it.
It doesn’t bread any existing stuff. It expands some areas and adds more background for some NPC’s. Plus it adds some new areas to play around in. I especially liked the ‘Canticle for lebowitz’ themed monastery it adds.

As it turns out, it looks like there will be another version of the mod released before too long, so I’ll wait for that one.
I started it, then my computer got a virus and I had to delete everything and reload… I haven’t gotten around to playing it again, but I will eventually… As far as I got it was interesting, I liked a lot of the changes, it is somewhat like playing a new game.
