Darn it. I’ve counted legs and come up with 4.25 horses, although I see five horse faces. Are we sure that this wasn’t done by M.C. Escher, and the horses aren’t morphing into lizards, who then morph into birds?
Or is this an allegory of life? Inasmuch as there are seven horses claimed, therefore there are seven horses asses, but since only five horses are visible, this explains the origin of managers, as the extra horses asses have to go somewhere.
I have no idea about the truth of this Tattva but check out the reference to the Pintos poster in the bottom right hand box of this site and hope for the best.
I’ve checked google and can find no corroboration to the claim that there are seven horses in Pintos. Several sites mention five horses as a matter of fact.
Heh… if you dislike “Jack-in-the-Box” thingies, there’s one on the Stile Project’s webpage that’ll blow your mind. The FREAKIEST thing I have ever seen or heard (and not the surprise at the end, either)…
Judging by the proportions of the skull, I think we’ve found the remains of a prehistoric superintelligent species of man…
I’m sorry, I still see no more than five horses. Unless you want to get really creative, in which case I have seen 43 horses in the picture and more to come, surely.
Washte, maybe you could clue us in on the location of the other two horsies? Please? Because it’s really getting frustrating.
Are you sure you’re not mixing this up with some other painting of hers, or a similar type illusion?
Because I know when I first looked at this picture I remembered a similar type painting that did have animals tucked away by their feet. In this one, however, I’m with everyone else in thinking and believing there are only five.
In the fine tradition of intelligence we are all trying to be too clever. The simple answer is - there are 5 horses, there was only ever meant to be 5 horses. The picture is not a ‘find the missing horses’ picture but rather a ‘marvel at the camoflauge effect on these 5 horses’ picture.
The joke/illusion website has been given the picture by someone who has told them that there are 7 horses. They have assumed that person is telling the truth and have uploaded the picture with the caption “there are 7”.
As a result of this lazy assumption - 20 or so intelligent people (including me) have spent hours staring at it - determined to find two horses that aren’t there.
I see 7 horses. This comes after a sleepless night of combined Sufi dancing, Tibetan chenresi practice, holotropic breathing, and shifting my assemblage point.
But when I open my eyes and look at the painting, I still only see 5 horses.
