I figured I’d better put this in a new thread instead of hijacking the Bumper Sticker thread. So this is an abbreviated explanation of V:tM for Shirley and anyone else who wants to know. If you have any questions ask them and I’ll do my best to answer but I’m warning you because I am not an expert but I have resources for help.
V:tM (or Vampire: the Masquerade as it is called) is a Role Playing game. Most people have heard of D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) and its the same idea only its developed differently. It can be adapted for Online, Live Action or Table Top playing. V:tM is developed by White Wolf which also has other games such as Werewolf: the Apocalypse, Hunter: the Reckoning, Wraith: the Changling and several others having to do with Mages, Immortals (like Highlander) and also different time periods. Vampire and Werewolf also have the Dark Ages and Wild West respectively.
There are a bunch of places you can learn about it and you can buy the books for the different games in some bookstores. If they don’t have them you can order them. (Thats what I did for a couple) But here I’ll give you a couple of links to help.
White Wolf This is their main page which has stuff about all of their games. They also have interactive which you can role play online there with others.
Basic V:tM This gives basic info about the clans, history, etc. If you want more you can search the net (there are quite a few pages with info out there) or buy the books.
