Music is part of our life. I live alternative, rock, rap, metal & so on. I also heard that these kind of music can influence teen’s mind into something bad, either crime or drugs. Fortunately, I have to do a research paper on any topic. My question that will enhance the paper is “How does explicit lyrics on music influence teen’s behaviours (reaction & making judgment)?”
I would like to hear what u all can comment on this. Also it would be even better if u have a legit links to share. Because this is also an interesting topics to talk about
Here’s a great link. Do your own homework.
Hi, I’ll volunteer I guess… lol
I think lyrics would effect a person like myself more than those that use it for background noise. As much as music matters to me, I don’t think music has ever made me do something that wasn’t already wanting to be said or done. Now I know the whole coincidence of this, but a long time ago I kid killed himself listening to Metallica’s “Fade to Black” I believe the parents tried to sue the band and I honestly don’t know how that turned out. I was just going to say I suffer severe depression and I have also felt inclined to end my life to this song. The mixture of understanding and hopelessness in the words seems to bring it on. I certainly don’t blame the band, in fact this is one of the many of my favorite songs (takes the right mood). Other than this I really have never been influenced to “follow orders” … maybe it’s my poor ability to discern what the singer is singing about until years after the song comes out
lol I think people listen to music that will boost their own ideas or support what mood they find themselves in most often, yet it’s a two-edged sword some are looking for an idea or message to follow others are trying to find what fits with them, music is so powerful because there’ssuch a variety of it and inevitably something for everyone in any mood they are in or want to be… that’s my experience anyway. Music has always been there for me when no one else was, it is obviously a big part of my life.
