Ok, assuming the quoted doctor exists and the quote itself isn’t distorted, how can a breast ‘explode’?
From horror medical docos, I’ve heard of implants leaking, and other cases where they work through the skin due to busted stitches- but explode?! It suggests that it may be due to inflammation, but I haven’t heard stories about implants rupturing due to bees and wasps.
If you drop an egg onto the floor it explodes.
If you stand on a grape it explodes.
If you hit a walnut with a hammer it explodes.
Explode: to expand rapidly and violently.
I have heard of catastrophic rupture in the event of an accident - when impact occurs with a steering wheel during a car crash, for instance. Which might be described as “exploding”. But no, I don’t think the scenario proposed in the linked article is likely.
