Explorer doesn't save the changes to the colour on visted links

For some reason, my copy of Explorer no longer saves the changes to the colour on visited links.

I’ve gone to the Internet Options dialogue box under “Tools”, clicked on “Colours” and made sure I have a different colour for visited links.

When I’m using Explorer, it does change the colour for visited links during one session, but after I shut down and come back the next day, links that I’ve vistited recently have gone back to the “unvisited” colour.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

thanks.

Go to Tools:Intenet Options and on the “General” tab, see what your setting is for “Days to keep pages in history.” The default is 20. If you have it set to 1, then it will only show that a page has been visited if you come back the same day.

I checked that - it’s set at 20 days, so I don’t think that’s the problem?

Try this: Open Tools >> Internet Options. Choose the Advanced tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom. About in the middle of the visible choices is “Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed”. Make sure that item is NOT checked.
