I’m thinking Jack Bauer takes the prize for person most into workahol. The dude hustles all day and really racks up the overtime.
As for King of Slackerdom, I nominate Homer Simpson. Although Costanza had honorable mention for his idea to sleep under his desk, Homer’s body of “work” is longer and more consistent, in my humble opinion.
The Kingfish on “Amos and Andy” was well known for avoiding work. One time, forced to get a job as a real estate salesman, he was found taking a nap in one of those desks with the roll down top.
Maynard G Krebs (G stood for Walter) on “Dobie Gillis” would remark "work?!?"when confronted with the possibility.
Workaholic: Montgomery Scott on Star Trek. Confined to quarters after getting into a fight with Klingons insulting the Enterprise (he gallantly ignored insults about Kirk earlier), he cheerfully remarked he could catch up on his technical journals.
For slacker I’d say Dave Lister from Red Dwarf. For workaholic I’d say Gareth Blackstock from Chef!
