Okel dokel, well, I figure this may be a safe topic, since there are enough threadsout there on this particular topic. So, I decided I’d give it a try. Lately, I have seen many examples of extremest group action on nearly every side of every debate. Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice? Extremest groups assasinating abortion doctors. Religions vs. Each Other? Extremest groups starting wars. Cheese vs. Cookies? Probably somebody out there, bombing cheese factories in the name of the Cookie.
Now, enough is enough. In a moment of despair, I have decided to turn to this post,begging all of you to share stories about or insights into encounters with these groups.
Hopefully, by sharing all of our opinions, we can come to some sort of understanding about why these people believe they are HELPING their cause. Or, at least get a good laugh. So please, offer all the help that you can.
Yeah, QuickSilver’s right, if you just want to hear anecdotes you should post in MPSIMS. So I’m going to move this to that forum. Great Debates would be more the place for topics like “What specifically should we do to reduce extremism?” or “I think making fundamentalists get their foreheads tattooed would reduce extremism. Is this constitutional?”
