This must have been the most boring game since Royal Engineers beat Old Etonians 2-0 after a 1-1 draw back in 1875.
I was so bored I felt like going for a walk around town with a 4" nail in my shoe just to wake me up.
That is all

It was the most boring game since… the last Cup Final. Showpiece of English football, my arse. Glad 'Arry Redknapp won something at last, I suppose, even if he is --allegedly-- bent as a nine bob note.
I take it I shouldn’t be upset I couldn’t watch it this year then…
It’s sad to see the demise of the Cup. Another thing I blame on the Champions League. And don’t knock 1875. Those Old Etonian bastards got exactly what was coming to them.
I don’t think it was that bad, Cardiff had a lot of chances when they were chasing the game and Portsmouth must have been biting their nails for the last 15 minute. While I’d agree that the low crowds in earlier rounds of the FA Cup are not good news, I’d say this year’s final was a shot in the arm for the cup. You had 2 sets of fans who were absolutely desperate for their team to win, it really meant something to them, and even the Cardiff fans would have enjoyed their day out. That’s what the cup is supposed to be about, not another permutation of the big 4, where the supporters have either seen their team win loads of competitions, or are attending their 3rd football match in their life. And it has to be said that having players like Henry etc in the final has not proved to be a guarantee of an exciting, or even a skilful, game.
