Facebook privacy: Preventing my posts to groups from being available to all my "friends"

Sometimes I see my friends’ comments on other people’s posts show up in my feed, so I’m thinking maybe my comments show up in theirs. I can’t find anything like this listed in Facebook privacy rules. I belong to a few groups, and when I make a comment on a post in a group, I would just like it to be seen by that group, not all my friends.

Is there a setting for this?

To my knowledge it all depends on whether the group is Public or Private. Only the administrator of the group can decide this, but if it’s set to Private then your posts won’t show up in anybody else’s feed. If it’s Public then all bets are off.

Yeah, I think that by posting to a public group you lose most control over who can see those posts. The posts are owned by the group now, so to speak, and anyone who can see the group and see the posts.
