I never login to Facebook these days, but sometimes Facebook emails me with updates, and from time to time there’s information that I’ve been tagged in so-and-so many pictures – and there’s a link with this information.
What I’d like to do is to see the pictures I’ve been tagged in, but when I click the link I just get to my Facebook “start page” (with the newsfeed etc); and however much I seem to click around, I can’t find the pictures.
So, in short, is there a way to view a list of all the pictures in which you’ve been tagged?
Click on your name in the top bar. This will get you to your timeline. Then click on “Photos”. There should be an album titled “Pictures of Wakinyan” in there.
Thank you Pitchmeister, but the only photos there are pictures I’ve uploaded once upon a time. I would like to see pictures which others uploaded and where I’ve been tagged.
When you click on “Photos” do you get a page like this? If you click “Photos of you” you’ll see photos that you are tagged in - which may include photos you uploaded yourself.
It looks like this. This year I’ve seen several photos that’s been tagged with my name, should be about ten of them aside of the latest batch according to the Facebook mail I was talking about in my OP.
I don’t know what the default is, but you have control over whether you “accept” being tagged in a photo. If you haven’t accepted those tags they probably won’t show up in your “Photos of you” album.
I can’t find the setting right now (any help appreciated), Telemark, but earlier this year I did some hard privacy configurations on my account, and the setting you mention is probably one of those. That might very well be the reason I can’t see the photos on my profile.
But before I dig into this, I’d like to ask a follow up question, namely, would this mean that “everybody else” see the photos with Wakinyan tags, while I will be unable to remove the tags from say embarrassing pictures, because there’s no way for me to locate them (except for browsing every “friend’s” photo albums which of course is practically impossible)?
No, if you haven’t approved a tag then no one else sees it. They can see the photo if they have permissions but without your approval it won’t show up in their feed as a tagged photo of you. It’s as if the tag doesn’t happen until you approve it. But somewhere in the UI you can find all the pending approvals for you to deal with; I can never find it right away.
