Factual question, but from a possible CT, so starting here

If someone thinks this is not the correct forum please feel free to move it.

The comments below are from a page discussing a local town’s Land Use Plan. My main question is whether anyone knows what they mean by “agenda 30”? The commenter seems to be a CT to me but I was still curious if “agenda 30” is a thing?

Thank you for this. It may all be part of agenda 30. The WEF’s plan to make sure they deliver on their promise “you will own nothing and be happy.”

This is straight up communism. There are so many things wrong with this. They already have plans to make Charlotte into a SMART City and they called Waxhaw (in another county) a part of the greater Charlotte Metropolitan region. If you are unfamiliar with a SMART City look it up. Basically its a prison zone with constant surveillance by tech or AI monitoring our every move- a complete loss of privacy- as someone from the WEF explained it. I love how they expect us to believe they got this all written and ready for implementaion in just over a year. They have been planning this for decades.

But what you’re seeing is just the fever dream hate child of the Agenda 21 conspiracy.

@crowmanyclouds nailed it. Here’s some background.

This is the WEF

Which is a real organization trying to do real good. But like “Soros” or “the Bilderbergers” or the “New World Order”, has become a magic totemic word for something about like SPECTRE in the James Bond movies. IOW, an implacably evil organization bent on world government by the elites but hidden from public view.

And this is WEF’s take on the 2030 agenda:

Here’s a pretty good explanation of CT / RW reactions to the similar UN Agenda 2021.

Hoo boy. Thanks for the “enlightenment.”

The WEF is based on the proposition that the ‘elites’ of the world should be setting our goals and making plans for changing the world. It’s centralized planning and centralized industrial policy. They are globalists who want the world’s population to mix into a giant melting pot. ‘The Great Reset’ and ''Build Back Better" were their initiatives, and they failed mightily, managing to only reset the careers of the politicians who tried to implement them, and build back Conservative parties around the globe.

Some of their ideas are okay, some are ridiculous, but in any case they shouldn’t be pushing their choices and solutions onto a complex world. Ask its ‘young global leaders’ who made it to the heights of local power and started to implement their ideas at home - if you can find one who hasn’t resigned from office under pressure from their own people. I guess you still have Trudeau.

Central planning always fails. Global central planning would lead to a global dystopia. Just say mo.

The question is really how seriously all this should be taken. There really is an Agenda 2030 and other globalist plans for remaking the world. But since I wouldn’t trust the UN to organize a soccer game, I’m not too worried about it. Like the Paris accords, a lot of countries putatively sign on to feel-good schemes so long as there is no cost associated with it (hey, free virtue signalling), but when it starts to get expensive everyone runs for the hills.

This is some quality humor, right here!
