That is awesome news. I was about to add another data point: my stepdaughter had a cat go missing for six months. She was surprised as hell when he showed up at the door one day out of the blue, skinny as a rail. So I was going to say don’t give up hope, but figured I should read to the end of the thread for any possible updates.
That is good to hear. Do you know where he was, or did he just walk in looking like only a few minutes had gone by?

My three cool cats have all gone a walk about at different times. I’m convinced they watch me from a secluded nook unconcerned for me calling and fretting over them.
Once I went on a week long trip and that one cat escaped from the sitter and ended up on the roof. They evaded and ditched the cat sitter for days u til the day the sitter pulled up and the damn cat was waiting at the door. All on their own time.
My cats have claws so at least can defend themselves outside.
So happy to hear that the Monkey is Home! I hope he appreciates how good he has it at Home!
When my guy Rocky went missing for days and days, Max, my other cat, was enjoying getting extra loving. I will never forget the look on Max’s face when I came walking into the room carrying Rocky. That was the face if someone that was NOT celebrating Rocky’s return.

And don’t you wish that there was some way you could get him to tell you where he’d been? I know when Fancy was gone for three weeks I wanted to know where she’d been, and why she stayed away that long.

My neighbor’s kitty wandered off earlier this year, and came back after about two weeks…we think he wandered a bit out of his normal range, and some well-meaning person took him in. (Even though he’s an indoor/outdoor cat, he doesn’t have a collar.)
