Even in other DLCs? Can you even give them one in Far Harbor?
I have always wanted to play as ghoul. You start up as a person dying of radiation poisoning in the wild commonwealth, who at the moment of death realized his affliction. Then you could play the game as a ghoul or a supermutant. It would be a lot of fun to mess with it from that perspective.
I laughed in his face and walked away back when he wanted me to work with him so no skin off my nose.
Good question. Rhys considers Far Harbor to be part of the Commonwealth given that locations there are possible targets for cleansing. Settlements there rely on Minutemen help so I wouldn’t try it unless you’re like Jophiel.
Hey, Jophiel, give 'em Murkwater. With few or no defenses. Respawning mirelurk queen bait!
I had a dream that placed “Cheers” in the Commonwealth Wasteland and the Institute replaced Cliff with a synth. Which didn’t work quite as well as planned, all that trivia overloaded its memory banks!
That’s brilliant!
Carter started telling stories and making conversation with the people around him. A large group of people started to crowd around him to listen to his stories. After a few hours and having a few drinks, something in Carter shifted. He had suddenly lost his smile and his cheek started to twitch. Mr. Carter suddenly pulled out a revolver and calmly, without even thinking twice, shot Henry, the bartender, square in the head. Carter continued on his rampage, killing an additional 3 to 4 people before finally being brought down by Diamond City security. Inspection of the corpse revealed that Carter was not an actual human being at all, but was in fact an Institute synth, only more advanced than the previous generations of synths.

Took one of those BoS escort missions. So I’m accompanying a scribe from The Prydwen to Poseidon Reservoir, taking the long way. Just before the bridge between County Crossing and the Weatherby building, a badly injured deathclaw matriarch runs past me. We had just taken it down with no problem when another badly injured deathclaw matriarch appeared nearby.
Easy XP but I have to wonder how they got so badly hurt before I even saw them. Didn’t hear any gunfire from my companions.
That’s one of the interesting thing about immersion in games like FO4. You find yourself thinking thoughts that make sense in the context of the game scene, like “What would make deathclaw matriarchs run away like that?” And maybe take evasive action, because those things are death on wheels and anything that could jack them up is quite possibly to be avoided.
Perhaps the matriarchs were fighting each other over territory? Do they even do that?
BTW: I hadn’t done one of those escort missions before. Only took that one because BoS was soon to become hostile.
Stormed the Institute with the Railroad early this morning.
I don’t know if matriarchs do, but I’ve seen deathclaws fighting each other. Ended up pot-shotting them with a sniper rifle as they beat the snot out of each other.
Guy needs to work on his sales pitch.
“I know you’ve only been unfrozen for three hours now and you know nothing of this strange new land. Oh, and you used to be a lawyer so that should come in real handy here. Anyway, you’re still literally the best person I can think of to lead my militia consisting of me, a wannabe Greaser, a geriatric drug addict, Mopey the Sadsack and his bitch harpy wife. We used to have more but I got everyone else killed. So, whaddya say?”
“… You know what? I’m going to pass on that one.”
Quincy probably gave him PTSD. Certainly did to Mr. & Mrs. Mopey Sadsack.
There are more Minutemen who will come out of hiding, most notably a grizzled old veteran, but you’ll never see 'em now. Or the +1 CHR general’s uniform with decent protection.
'Course, you won’t be running around saving settlements so it’s pretty much a wash.
There is a way to bypass not having to find every single Star Core.
The one in the junkyard respawns.
As does the nearly inaccessible fusion core nearby.
Anyone else having problems with Fallout 4 crashing to desktop?
I’m using the Nexus Mod Manager. Perhaps it’s one of the mods being either present or absent which causes crashing issues but I don’t know if that’s the case and if so, which mod’s presence/absence is causing the problems.
Disable them all then reenable one, see if it runs, repeat. For example, nodotdotdot made mine CTD right after starting once the DLC started coming out (fixed last I checked but it took them awhile to update).
I always hated that answer. That’s fine if one is running a half dozen mods, but if one is running dozens, as I often do, that’s a real PITA, even if it is the right answer.
I disabled all the mods by unchecking them all in the Nexus mod manager. Still crashes to desktop.
