It was a pain in the ass to control this game, even on what my wife considers a comically large phone with a stylus. I’m really happy to get a chance to try this from scratch on a PC.
A lot of the new features were available for a long time on the phone, but I didn’t feel like screwing with them so long after I’d gotten 200 citizens, half of whom were SuperS.P.E.C.I.A.L.S., with all their stats maxed out.
Now if only they’d come out with a PC version of CrossMe.
Yeah, having to install yet another company’s front end was a bitch. But since there are payments involved, I guess they don’t want to give Steam a cut of that action.
I’m 99% sure that 70% of Steam sales >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> * infinity of 100% of Beth store sales.
New patch is pretty cool. Yeah, easier to control on PC.
Is there any point in saving criticals?
I’ve gotten a random encounter twice now, something like “provide fire support for Star Paladin Cross.” Small building, with a single Deathclaw upstairs who takes forever to kill with one dweller. Downstairs is a boss Deathclaw, who seems to instantly kill me (lag?). No more rooms, and I didn’t see Cross, so I don’t know if she comes out of hiding or what.
Some bugs. The sound quits out on quests sometimes. And I still can’t figure out to get rid of sleeping areas, as it wouldn’t let me build more as I have the max, but also won’t allow me to sell an existing one without murdering dwellers.
Now if they’d just have it for Macs. They claim it’s too much work to be worth porting, but there’s a fair number of PC/Mac hybrid games where the Mac version is just the Windows version wrapped in a WINE-like container.
