1st guy on tonights family fued fast money got 185 points. The 2nd person only needed 15 points to win the $20,000. This was a John O’Hurley show and they did win.
Has anyone ever gotten all 200 points with just the 1st person’s answers?
I’ve seen it once, but have no details.
There was once…Ray Combs then totally mind-fucked the second person by asking the most absurd questions imaginable.
This guy got 175 points going first. All number 1 answers. Couldn’t do any better with this survey. Steve Harvey was impressed

I’m sure I saw it happen with Richard Dawson and he did the same thing to the second contestant. I stopped watching after Dawson left, so I’m almost certainly not mixing them up.
Back in the Dawson days I seem to remember it happening quite a few times.
It seems that recent versions of the show have stacked the deck against the contestants, making it nearly impossible to win with just one person. Many times the top answer will only be worth something like 28 points.
Agreed. We used to watch Family Feud back in the lat '80s when I was growing up, and I recall it happening pretty frequently. Not always, but you’d see it once, maybe twice a month or so. Sometimes Dawson would give the next player the standard questions, sometimes he’d come up with off the wall questions off the cuff for our amusement.
I haven’t seen the Feud recently - haven’t watched in like forever. It’s still a cool game, though.
I watched this show a lot both when it was on when I was a kid and in reruns on GSN years ago and I saw this happen several times.
I saw Dawson do it once.I remember three of the five silly questions…
Pick a number between 3 and 5.( Don’t remember the answer given,but almost sure it wasn’t 4)
There are 10,000 lunar points of light on the moon,name one.(Pass)
and my favorite…Name something that tastes like a Lima Bean.(Answer-Lima Bean)
I was actually the second person in the history of the show who got all 200 points in the first round of fast money. Richard Dawson was the host. Happened in the summer of 1978. I agree, some of the contests were much easier than other ones. Dawson had my then wife come out and try to answer the same questions, but since she knew that we had already won, she found it impossible to concentrate. It was a great experience for our family. Dawson was such a great host and genuine nice guy.
