Family Guy on Adult Swim!

It’s not up on their website yet, but they’ve been running ads saying that Family Guy’s going to start on April 20th! Matt Groening has said that in the few short months that Futurama’s been running on Adult Swim, he’s gotten more fanmail than during it’s entire run on Fox. (Of course, the pricks at Fox won’t renew the show now.) I imagine something similar ir going to happen with Family Guy.

The Good: If you look at their schedule for days after the 20th, Family Guy is listed at 11:30 PM.

The Bad: And Home Movies is nowhere to be seen after the 17th. :frowning:

I have yearned for this day to come.

Thank you, Adult Swim. Thank you.

Hey, does anybody know why Samurai Jack is showing on weekends only?

That day corresponds to the day that Seasons 1+2 are released on DVD in the states. Woohoooo.

Nice to see other fans of Family Guy. Most of the people I know are saying “Family Who?” when I’m ranting about how great it is.

Now that this has started, are they going in any order? It doesn’t look like it after reviewing an episode guide…

And it’s replaced the far superior IMHO Home Movies. Damned shame, that.

At least Home Movies is supposed to be returning this Fall.

Can someone answer a Family Guy question for me? on last night’s episode dealing with Xmas, there’s a line about Lois wanting Peter to do something and he replies with (I’m paraphrasing) “OK, but then I get to kiss you under the mistletoe, open mouth, no matter how drunk I am”. Didn’t he originally say “Ok, I’ll do it, but then I get anal. That’s right, I get to clean the house from floor to ceiling.” Am I transposing episodes or did ComCent edit it?

You guys are being sarcastic about missing Home Movies, right? As bad as the animation was, it wasn’t the worst part of that show.

Ugh. Home Movies gone, and that execrable waste of ink and paint in its place. Cartoon Network, how could you?

I know this is a post for Family Guy fans, so I’ll try not to be too derogatory about that show. But in short, yes, I am a huge Home Movies fan. Brendon Small and H Jon Benjamin (who did two of the largely improvised voices on the show) are absolutely brilliant. Now there’s a show that ought to come out on DVD…

“Home Movies” is the best thing since sliced bread??
Am I being whooshed? You can’t be serious…

Home Movies kicked ass, and as much as I like Family Guy I was seriously disappointed when they took it off. It was nearly the only show I regularly watched. If you didn’t like it, I have to ask: did you ever see the Mr. Pants episode? C’mon, that’s funny stuff!

No I didn’t see “Mr. Pants”…actually I haven’t seen much of any episode because it puts me to sleep every time. Seriously. I am not disrespecting those who love the show, I just find it tedious and annoying. I mean that nasal voiced fat kid is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me…Now “Family Guy” that is well crafted, well written and deviously hilarious. “Home Movies”? blaah, YAWN.

Sorry if I am contributing to the “Home Movies” vs. “Family Guy” hijack…just needed to say what needed to be said.
