I did not want to say anything until she had announced it but my older daughter, who just married last Fall, discovered a lump in her groin a couple of weeks ago. Her doctors have determined that it is not cancer but she does have two desmoid tumors in her leg.

I have never heard of desmoid tumors before today. They are not cancer because they do not metastasize but that does not mean they are not invasive. She is starting a chemotherapy regime shortly which may shrink the tumors.

I must ask all my friends to keep my girl in their thoughts and prayers, we are not picky and will accept the intercession of any saint, deity or aspect of the Godhead who watches over young brides.
