On the show “Family Ties” (a US show BTW), I’m convinced that at one time the baby that grew up to be Andrew was originally a GIRL! Am I completely off my rocker (or wheelchair)?
Hm. Not that I know of. I’ve seen the episode where the baby is born (at the TV station)…and I remember Elise saying it’s a boy, and Alex getting really happy because there’s finally another male child in the family.

Maybe you heard that one of the actors that played the baby was a female in a set of twins? According to the IMDB the twins were named Garrett and Taylor, perhaps one is a girl?

When she was pregnant in real life, they wrote the pregnancy into the show and referred to the expected baby as a girl, but when it was born, they suddenly decided it would be a boy and named it Jerry. Jerry Garcia had just died and I remember reading that she wanted to honor his memory so she changed the gender of the baby. They never referred to the shows where they talked about how they were expecting a girl.
