What high rated TV shows have you never watched, or really cared to watch?
I have never watched, or watched once,
ER
Friends
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Frasier (Cheers was a classic)
Conan O’Brien (for a dislike of talk shows generally)
All reality shows, Survivor, Big Brother, Joe Millionaire.
HBO stuff like 6 Feet Under, Sopranos (watched once)
I do not want to get into a discussion of the above merits of these TV programs. I love TV, but there is only a certain number of hours that one can watch the thing, and there are now four major networks, two or three minor networks plus numerous cable selections, and there is stuff that I like, so I don’t watch another network’s TV shows.
Seinfeld
Buffy
Dragonball (“Z,” or otherwise)
Cowboy Bebop
Sports (Except the Olympics. Sometimes.)
Any of the “Survivors” after season 2
West Wing
CSI
Pokémon (I did watch “Digimon,” though. Up through season 3, at least.)
The Simpsons (Not since about 1997.)
ER
That “real time” one, what’s it called, 24 or something?
Friends - well, I watched it a couple times and hated it.
Sex and the City
West Wing
Fear Factor
Trading Spaces
Baywatch
Any reality show (and yes, that includes The Real World and Road Rules)
I have seen Seinfeld once.
I haven’t watched Law & Order or any of its premutations and/or spin-offs.
I haven’t seen a full episode of any show that’s come out in the last two years other than Buffy (courtesy of the Intarweb) and Enterprise (ibid). Full House Baywatch
As with twickster, I’ve never seen The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, or any other HBO original series, except From the Earth to the Moon, which I saw on DVD.
Buffy
Beverly Hills 90210 (and it was on when I was in Jr High, and everyone else watched it)
West Wing
Will & Grace
Six Feet Under
Sopranos
Fear Factor
Survivor
Big Brother
Any of the marrying shows that are out there…
Do movies count? I have a pathological, illogical and totaly unreasonable urge not to see any “must see” or most seen movies.
I have never seen Titanic, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, LOTR etc (all those top ten kinda deals) I have recently decided that while the child can go see Finding Nemo, I won’t.
I have no reason for never having seen these movies. I just think “must see” means “na…I don’t have to…you can’t make me” I feel stupid about this sometimes, particularly since I have some illogical, pathological totaly unreasonable desire to watch any and all “reality tv” programmes.
Aside from a couple of the HBO series, there are no popular shows that I’ve ever made an effort to watch. No Seinfeld, no Friends, no Buffy, no West Wing, no X-Files, no reality idiocy.
Well, I am an HGTV junkie after all. But the most recent network show that I care about is Scrubs, and I keep forgetting to tune in for that. I just can’t get excited about TV in general.
I watch too much TV and more than my share of crappy TV, and I’ve never watched:
NYPD Blud
Anything on HBO (Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, etc.)
ER
Any reality show
Any marrying show
The West Wing
Will & Grace
Deep Space Nine
South Park
Any show featuring Jim Belushi
I must be some kind of freak because I don’t have a show I watch regularly. Everyone else seems to have one they never miss and enjoy talking to others about in endless fashion.
I just never got into anything on tv THAT much. I have to admit that this does not make me an intellectual in any sense. It probably speaks more to my short attention span and the fact that I’m easily distracted (and that I like playing with my daughter more than watching tv which is just further evidence that I have the mind of a small child).
ER
All reality shows, Survivor, Big Brother, Joe Millionaire.
HBO stuff like 6 Feet Under, Sopranos (watched once)
West Wing
NYPD Blue
South Park
Will & Grace (although Debra Messing is hot.)
Any of the Star Trek franchise
Fear Factor
Survivor (tho’ I saw the 2d season finale at a friend’s house)
Baywatch (seen a few episodes)
The Honeymooners
Gilmore Girls
Smallville (after the third episode – which is funny, because I’m a comics fan)
