First, my appreciate for Ms. Portman is mostly aesthetic. I mean, for all I know she doesn’t likes movies more than books. Or wouldn’t find my pretended worship of Athena & Thor amusing. Or doesn’t like cheesecake.
In the second case – well, there’s Mrs. Rhymer. If Ms. Portman loved books more than movies AND was willing to play along wiht the Athena gag AND loved cheesecake iin mine in particular, I’d still love Mrs. R. more.
For me, while I find her china-doll beautiful and smart and a gifted actress, I guess the most suprising thing to me was “okay, guess this means she’s actually had sex…”
I get the impression that she’s incredibly high maintenance; couple that with some Jessie James dude(OK a French ballet dancer…whatev)…I give it 3 years, tops, and that’s just because there’s a kid involved.
We had this discussion years back and reached no conclusion, as it is, of course, a matter of opinion. My position then and now was that healthy, happy pregnancy increases a woman’s hotness. Those who are already hot become hotter; those who are borderline hot become definitely hot; et cetera. But all happy, healthy pregnant women are comely.

Admittedly, it was Page Six :o , which is why I only got an impression, rather than a fully-formed opinion. I remember something about some really stuck-up stuff and demands that people not dare deign be in her proximty, etc.
She is a hardcore vegan and outspoken about political social beliefs. I don’t know if that translates to forcing her beliefs on others or if she is respectful. I feel like I’ve gotten a similar impression as An Arky but can’t place it, and don’t keep up with gossip to know if she’s done anything specific.
