Damn, does anyone know where I could find the stats for defensive Tackles for Loss and 3 & Outs from previous years? AFAICT, neither espn.com, nfl.com, pro-football-reference, nor Yahoo has this information. It’s gonna be hard to know how to use these categories without this data.
Worst comes to worst, I could maybe email Football Outsiders.
Love this. I really want to see Defensive Yardage allowed included in the Dynasty League and possibly in the Big League.
I’m not sold on big play offensive bonuses for the Dynasty League because everyone is playing as many studs as they can and it feels like piling on, but I do like it for the Big League, which could get interesting when a little guy has a big week.
We HAVE to do this in the Dynasty League.
I’ve been slowly building up the motivation the past couple weeks to create this year’s keeper league. It’ll be coming soon.

Hmm…well…ok, I suppose the thread title implies the thread is open to discussion of any fantasy football, but I suspect that the OP intended this to be mostly discussion of SDMB leagues.

Discussing any fantasy football (“Should Arian Foster go #1 overall? What do you think the pick 6 penalty should be?”) is fine. Or discussing your other leagues is fine. But if you come in saying “we”, the default assumption is that you’re talking about SDMB FF leagues, so it’s weird to go flying off the handle over a reasonable assumption/clarification.
I’m not crazy at all about changing team defense scoring in the dynasty league. My defenses suck enough already and it’s not like I can improve through the draft like other positions.
I think everyone will agree a couple IR slots would be awesome.
I’m a bit divided on the new offensive scoring and how much it might reward 4th quarter garbage time drives by a team trailing badly at the end of the game.
I like the Dynasty league the way it is.
I think we should play the dynasty league by the intent of the owner and therefore I should be able to trade in Steve Slaton and get Arian Foster.
I have seen most of school going students are one of the great fan of sports games like NFS, FIFA and EA Cricket. We can’t blamed. Because now days Game companies are providing an interactive games for kids.
My 4th league folded, so I’d like in. I think, especially in the Big League, that I’ve proven I’m in for the duration.

I apologize if I’m misunderstanding what you need to see, but what I always do with new settings and things in a Yahoo league is just to set the league to include all those stats, then go into the stat section of the league page. The 2010 stats in the new categories will then be part of the sortable stats.
Yeah, but since it’s a dynasty league that’s kind of something we need to know beforehand - since most of us will need to know what our defenses will be worth before deciding whether we want to change the rules.
You don’t need to know it beforehand. You set the league up with all of those stats so that they appear on the Player List, and then your league can debate and discuss, and then adjust as necessary before the draft.
Adjust what? The defenses are already on our rosters. Do you mean change the league rules and then change them back after seeing the stats?
It’s what I meant. I tried it with a new league I created for that purpose, though, and it turns out that the new categories are all zeroes. I guess whoever tracks stats for them is just going to start tracking those numbers for the first time next year.
