Fantasy football general discussion

I might start Schaub regardless.

Smith is getting a lot of targets, but it seems like he hasn’t scored a touchdown in months. Anyway, the Redskins are #1 against the pass.

Green Bay are also really good against the pass.

LT will give you ~50 rushing yards, and is a much better bet to score.

I’ve never run across this situation before: Is it possible I could get points for a running back kicking a field goal or PAT? Tim Hightower is the Cardinals emergency kicker since their punter Ben Graham has no placekicking experience.

Yup. Flutie owners got points for his dropkick a few years ago.

I would be extremely surprised if Flutie was on any fantasy rosters when he made the kick, let alone starting for owners. He was the third quarterback and didn’t play a down (except that one).

Regardless, he was classified as a QB, and received points for the kick - which perfectly answers dalej’s question.

What about starting Hightower over SJax? Last week Jackson got nothing because the defense wasn’t worried about the QB and just stacked against the run. Meanwhile the Cards are vs. the Lions. Though it seems Hightower is losing touches lately.

Which Jones? If you even think “Kevin”, I will print this post out, find you, wherever you are, and make you eat it.

I would start Jackson. Before last week, he was productive almost every week. Hightower fumbled against the 49ers (who didn’t?) so who knows what you’ll get?

Felix.

Okay then. That’s better.

I don’t think this is true. I have no idea how to confirm it though. Nowadays Yahoo has this “additional points” thing where kickers and wide receivers get extra points for passing yards and fumble recoveries but back in the day they didn’t. I remember several circumstances where kickers would get passing or rushing yards and scores and they wouldn’t get points for it in past years. Basically the Yahoo database wasn’t set up to record it.

Is Ochocinco still the back up kicker in Cincy?

Quick question for this week: Which two of these three RBs should I start?

Marion Barber vs. NO
Kevin Faulk vs. BUF
Willis McGahee vs. CHI

Fuck Fantasy football. Just a bunch of fucking lucky rolls of the dice. and fuck yahoo and their goddamn stat correction on aaron rodgers. why the fuck do i do this shit? i am in 4 leagues. I was comfortably in the playoffs in 3 of them a week ago. You know every player who underperformed this week? they were on my team so i scored shit and let everybody pass me for the tie breaker. i was still barely in the playoffs in one league. then the fucking stat correction on aaron rodgers gave a terrible owner the victory and im out. fuck. fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Not great options at all. Faulk is easily the worst of the group, but McGahee is a vulture and could get totally shut out. Plan accordingly and if there’s any chance to start a WR in the flex over McGahee I’d do it.

I know, I’ve been riding the McGahee roller-coaster all season as my flex player due to my lack of WRs.

I’m not sure how much this is going to matter after tonight. I’m starting Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Mike Sims-Walker, and Maurice Jones-Drew. I have 76.5 points already, and I’m going against a team I should have been able to beat with less production out of Sims-Walker.

A Reggie Wayne score! It’s been weeks!

I heart Peyton Manning. I have 92.3 points. On Thursday.

And to think I was considering not using a 5th-round keeper pick on Dallas Clark this offseason (in HHM).

Urk. I need high variance this week.
