Well, as most of you may know by the time you get here to the SDMB, Jason Robards died yesterday at the age of 78. I always thought he was indeed a good actor and the few films and plays I saw him in were a treat.
I was lucky enough to have met him about 5 years ago while at Georgetown and got the chance to tell him how much I liked his acting. He will most definitely be missed.
Kirsty MacColl, Victor Borge, Billy Barty, and now Jason Robards!
I always liked the characters Robards played. 
I first had the privilege of seeing Mr. Robards in All the President’s Men in high school journalism class. Since then, I’ve seen some of his other work. His role of Henry Drummond in the remake of Inherit the Wind was nothing short of amazing.

Jason Robards was a fine actor, and I’ll miss him…
Aw, man! I LOVED Jason Robards. He made every movie in which he starred seem better than it otherwise would have. I especially liked “Max Dugan Returns.” Darn it.
I first saw Robards in A Thousand Clowns, and have been a fan of his ever since. He was remarkable.
