Fast food/chain resturant items that were recently removed that you now miss

I had Jason’s Deli gumbo in Houston (well, Sugarland) last week and it had plenty of shrimp in it. I wonder if it’s a temporary thing?

Or a local problem. Doesn’t seem to be well-run.

Jason’s central office doesn’t respond to questions/complaints, so who knows.

McDonald’s has long ago removed at least two items that were my jam when they were there: The Big Mac Snack Wrap, which was basically a Big Mac, just in wrap form; and the Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger, which had caramelized onions on it. Soooo good. And about the same price as a McDouble.

I’m still mourning the McSkillet burrito, myself.

Culver’s got rid of green beans as well. Replaced with broccoli, I believe. A definite step down.

First Popeye’s, now Culver’s. Wonder if the green bean industry is concerned.

I got those all the time. Whoever decided to remove them from the menu should get the death penalty.

I miss Arby’s Potato Cakes. A LOT

My suspicion is that they’ve run into supply issues with green beans. Who knew?

Culver’s (at least the ones near me) also have not had their Buffalo chicken tenders for months; again, I suspect that they are having issues sourcing them.

Years ago, Wendy’s had a Mandarin Chicken Salad that was delicious. It had mandarin oranges, Chinese noodles, and chicken with a orange dressing. Not only was it good, but it was the healthiest item on the menu.

I recall a web site with a chart of Taco Bell ingredients vs menu items. It was pretty interesting and no, there is no reason they couldn’t keep everything on the menu today. If you watch the assemblers in back they have the same damn chart in front of them that shows how to build every item. I wonder of you could ask for “add lettuce and tomato” or whatever it takes to make a Beefy 5 Layer into a 7 Layer.

Those thing were addictive! I just ordered my burger that way at a local bar last week.

I loved those; I practically cried when they stopped selling them.
