What's your favorite fast food item?

I’m torn between Wendy’s chili and Nathan’s fries. The chili is cheap, tasty and filling. The fries at Nathan’s are thicker than your usual stick cut fries and have a nicer ratio of crust to interior. Nathan’s used to have a pleasantly tomatoey Manhattan clam chowder on the menu but I haven’t seen it in years unfortunately.

If I had to pick one item, I would say McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets. No other Nuggets either from a restaurant or frozen taste like them and I will cheat a bit and also include McDonald’s Sweet and Sour sauce. I love that stuff so much I wish they bottled it.

Those are really good. My daughter’s a committed vegetarian but oh my does she make an exception for chicken mcnuggets. We grabbed a 20 piece last night as a snack along with some fries. I think she ate fifteen of them.

Taco Bell’s beef burrito. I don’t indulge often but the taste is perfect when I’m in the mood for trash food.

Taco Bell taco salad with a caramel empanada for dessert.

Anything from Five Guys.

Big Mac. (or, Big Mac Meal, since I call all three items a No. 1!)

A&W Double Teen Burger (I think a strictly Canadian thing, nowadays…I know A&W Canada and the original are no longer connected, and I think only A&WC brought back the Burger Family…yer loss!).

The texture of the patties is unique among fast food burgers, making them second only to homemade.

I like those sausage mcmuffins when I’m around one of those places. I can go all fucking day on a couple of those and a cup of coffee. Also cheers to the above mentioner of Taco Bell – I like those little soft tacos with beef or whatever in them. Those two items are tied for favorite I guess.

The 7-layer burritos at Taco Bell kick ass. I can usually remember all 7 layers off the top of my head. Here goes: lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, rice, and refried beans.

My friends and I refer to the Oporto burger range as the default fast food choice. When you can’t decide what you want have an Oporto burger, usually a Bondi with chili sauce.

Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich. The original, not the spicy, not the grilled, just bun, pickles, and chicken breast.

It’s just divine.

Delux angus snack wrap from McDonalds. Yummy.

For small chain - Hamburger, hold the tomato (because they use 1/2" thick slices!), extra onions from The Hat.

Regional chain - the basic taco from Del Taco.

National chain - like Wargamer, the basic Chick-Fil-A sandwich, customized to my liking.

Arby’s Beef ‘n’ Cheddar with lots and lots of that tangy Arby’s Sauce. Terrible for me, I know, and not exactly haute cuisine, but so help me, I love 'em.

See, that would have made my list but for the fact that I have refused to set foot in an Arby’s since they dumped their regular fries for those gawd-awful curly fries. That corporate decision made me give up their food forever.

In-N-Out’s Animal-Style Fries.

Joe

It used to be the original Jack in the Box Chicken Supreme Sandwich. It has morphed into something different that’s not as good. These days my fave is Togo’s Turkey Bacon Club on sourdough (with a scoop of avocado, please).

White Castle cheeseburger…only thing that rivals it is a cheeseburger from the White Manna in Hackensack New Jersey…

As soon as I read the OP’s title, I knew it had to be Wendy’s Chili.

For a complete meal, I spoon it over a plain baked potato. Ideally, a small will have 3 hot sauce packets and two pepper packets stirred in. If I’m feeling particularly naughty, I’ll squeeze a bit on sour cream onto every third or fourth bite.
