Okay, I will admit, I am an image-obsessed person. I am very concerned about weight, and how I look. One thing I want an honest opinion from others on, is how fat is too fat? How thin is too thin? Who do you think has a body that is just kick-ass? And also, does anyone else agree with me, that there are some people who may have a damn fine body, but the face just doesn’t jive and vice-versa, and then there’s just those lucky folk, who just look damn good. I supposed I’m just wondering what ya’ll’s ideals of looks are. Just for some interesting conversation…
What image is that?
IMHO.
It depends a lot on the body type. I’m a guy, so I’m going to tell you my opinion on women. I think that’s what you want…anyway: I don’t like skin and bones. I like a body to have some curvature to it, with some meat on the bones…none of this 5’9" 110 pounds stuff. That’s way too thin. As far as too fat…I don’t know. I think when you start to look sloppy, you’re getting heavy. I don’t know how else to put it. A person can be 5’2" 170lbs, and look good, if the weight is in the right spot, or they can look really fat. If you carry all your weight in your stomach and butt, it’ll look fat. If it’s well distributed, you can look fine. I like women who are about 5’2" 115-120lbs to about 5’8" 130-150 lbs. That’s what I’d consider ideal, but again, it all depends on how it’s carried.
As far as my idea of the perfect body? Catherine Zeta-Jones. Heck, she wins for perfect everything. Mmmmm…
Jman
This sounds like a question for IMHO.
And, IMHO, I don’t think you can make a general determination of how fat is too fat, or thin. It depends on the person and how you know them, etc. I find that the more you know and get along with someone the less you notice weight and looks in a negative way.
Judgments in real life shouldn’t be made in comparison to celebrities who are ideals we don’t need to worry about duplicating.
Oh sweet jesus. I’m just going to walk away quickly.

JMan, thanks for your opinion. Very interesting. Interesting to hear someone actually say they don’t like the skin and bones look. Of course, as a girl, that’s the look I’m “taught” to strive to, and have, but hearing that that’s not as sexy as having some curvature is very enlightening… and btw, (even as a girl)I agree with you on Catherine Zeta-Jones.
gigi, oops! i’m sorry, i’m new and didn’t mean to post this in the wrong section, i can move it to IMHO… and, I do appreciate your opinion, i just wish it was one more widely shared in society…
No, you can’t, unless you’re a moderator. And please don’t open a new thread with the same title in IMHO. Wait for Chronos or somebody to move this one.
Please.
Thank you.
okay… sorry about that!
