Wow, I met this really gorgeous girl in London a couple of weeks ago, we got chatting and I managed to get her number. Nothing much happened though… except today I get a random email from an online dating thingy and, well, since it’s valentine’s day next week, I figured I’d fill in some forms and see who it matches me with.
Who do I see as #1 match? Yup, that girl I met a couple of weeks ago.

Let me tell you a tale…
Back when I was in high school I had just met this girl who was few year younger than me. I liked her and asked her to the Friday night school dance. We had a great time and as we were parting we talked about getting together soon. Unfortunately, the next day I had a job painting the basement at the house of my church group leader. She was tied up because her parents were going to be going to a football game with some friends and she was going to be hanging out at the friends’ house with their daughter.
So, I show up the next day to paint and my church group leader tells me he and his wife will be going out to see a football game with some friends…well, of course, the friends arrive with their daughter who will be staying at the house while they’re gone…
Cut to Monday at school - my friend grabs me in the hall and tells me he met this girl that he thinks would be perfect for me! He walks me down the hall to introduce me to…
Telling my dad about this girl, he points out that her grandparents and my grandparents were neighbors and best buddies and that my uncle had dated her mother for a short while when they were in school.
Odd how I’d never met her before, we grew up in the same small town but it was if she just appeared the week before.
Naturally, we married.
