Father's Day Gifts in the Year of Quarantine

Well, since it looks like I won’t be able to see my dad on Father’s Day (he’ll be 85 this year, I’m an essential worker, so we chat on the phone) I have ordered a six pack of Tortuga Rum Cakes be sent to him for Father’s Day. Ivylad is getting the same gift.

How are you celebrating Father’s Day from afar?

No baseball with my sons on Father’s Day this year. That’s sad, but the fact that our Nationals are world champs makes it a little easier to take.

If I’m able to maintain my own quarantine that long, I’ll just visit him in person. If not then a video call and a present left on his doorstep will have to do.

In either case his gift will be a gift card. Don’t look at me like that; it’s all he’ll tell me he wants.

I usually take flowers to my Daddy’s grave. Can’t do it this year unless things get more stable.
The kids are all here. Not sure what they have planned for Mr.Wrekker. I might need to ask.

Dupe.

Get him an extra-wide tie that can double as a face mask.

That’s a great idea, actually!
