Father's Day... what to do?

This is boring but I need help. What do I get my Dad who has everything he needs, and doesn’t want anything? Every year I go through this. Anybody else got Dads like this?

Afraid I can’t help - my dad gets the same thing that my mom gets for Mother’s Day - a phone call. My husband’s preference is for tools - he’s been whining for a band saw, and I have to remind him that he’s not my father.

Thanks! My father likes tools too but I think he has every tool ever made. Maybe I’ll get him a gift certificate and he can get his own gift.

I’m getting my dad/parents a gift certificate to a restaurant, enough for them to go out together. They like to eat out, and he has most everything else he wants/needs.

I doubt they’d care if I didn’t get him anything, but I gave my mom some pictures for the wall on her birthday and mother’s day (to match the one I gave her for Giftmas – why’d she hang it in the living room where nothing else matched it? :)) and I figure I should get him/them something. They don’t charge me for rent, so hey.

Show a little thoughtfulness, and hopefully they won’t start.

Thanks for the input, guys. New ideas are always a help!

I’m planting flowers at my Dad’s. I do it for Mother’s Day also, but this year I’m gonna put some perennials in as well.

that’s a good idea!

Here’s a site with a list of ideas for Father’s day:

I’ll echo the Gift Certificate to a favorite restaurant or store… it lets them know you care & it’s more tasteful than cash
