Domestic - bunnies.
Wild - definitely elephants.

Coyotes.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Armadillos.
…which is odd, given that I’ve almost never (if ever) actually seen one in the flesh.
Do they make good pets?
I like kangaroos. They’re so springy, and the pockets are an excellent innovation.
Hedgehogs are neat, too.
Domestic: Cats
Wild: Big Cats
Cats. (duh)
Parrots are quite cool, too.
Armadillos are neat, also, as are badgers.
Domestic: Dogs.
Wild: Dolphins.
Meerkats
Chupacabras.
Oh, and Acanthoscurria geniculata.
Tigers.
Cats (up to and including tigers, even). Wolves. And Dragons.
Dead ones. Medium rare, mostly. Sometimes raw.
If I have to pick a “live” one…
…because they kill cats round here.
Hmmm…let me see…
Peregrine Falcons
Tree frogs. You know, the poisonous stripy ones that live in the Amazon jungle. Imagine being the first frog who thought, “Being green and brown? Living in muddy puddles? Not for me - I’m livin’ the high life! I’m gonna climb a tree, be crimson with yellow stripes, and any mofo who messes with this damn frog is gonna stop breathin’ two seconds later!” Tree frogs rock.
I think you seem to have a slightly different view on evolution as the rest of us…
The platypus is quite acool animal, I mean, look at what it has going for it:
A mammal…technically, cause it has fur and nurses it’s young, BUT
Lays eggs. EGGS!!! For godsake!
Has a BILL! Like a duck!
Also has feet kind of like a duck, with POISONOUS CLAWS!!!
Penguins and giant pandas… penguins for the reasons listed above by Anaamika, and pandas because they’re enormous things that sit and eat all day. How can you hate on that?
Dogs, esp. larger breeds - as a pet
Chipmunks - as an undomesticated animal
It’s a little known fact…
At the National Zoo, it was explained that panda bears have a sixth digit which is similar to our posable thumb! This alows them to plop themselves down and munch on bamboo in an almost human-like manner. That’s why they seem so cuddly, too…as they sit upright like a teddy bear! - Jinx
Hippo. Seriously.
My wife has a favorite animal. My best friend at the time had one, as did his then-wife (who was my wife’s best friend). So, I figured, I needed one too.
At the time I was very overweight and thought that a fat animal would be a perfect animal for me. So, I chose a hippo. I now own tons and tons of hippo stuff (including some really cute ones).
