Favorite Archer Character

Who is your favorite archer character? Is it a classical archer, a classic archer, or one of the modern popular ones?

Mine is Odysseus. The scene at the end with the feat of strength followed by the slaughtering of the suitors is one of my alltime favorites.

Poll forthcoming.

Obviously “Classic” Robin Hood is Kevin Costner, right?

I’ll go with William Tell for that whole apple stunt. And his fine overture.

It’s anybody other than Cary Elwes who, unlike other Robin Hoods, can speak with a British accent.

I’ll be damned. Apparently Mr. Tell used a crossbow (per Wiki) in direct contradiction to every cartoon I’ve ever seen. Despite not being “archery”, my vote shall stand.

Yet Another Edit: Google seems okay with crossbows being considered archery. And now I’ve spent far too much time on this topic.

Heretic.

It is obviously Errol Flynn. Or, you know, that fox from the Disney version :D. Anyway I’m going with Flynn/fox. Made an impression on me as a wee lad.

No, it’s this one.

John Rambo.
That was back before it became a sport for elves and girls and arrows EXPLODED!

Robin Hood (fox).

I’ll vote for Robin Hood, but Bo and Luke Duke were pretty cool, too.

I opened this thinking you were asking about the FX series Archer (season premiere tomorrow). Answer: Pam.

I swear I had something for this…

Also, again: Robin Hood (fox).

Different thread.
