I cannot fathom anything further removed from the concept of B&B than a Formule 1 hotel.
I’ll mention one in Japan.
Murasaki, in Takayama.
The rooms were nice, though not exceptional. However, the building was very pretty, in traditional style. The front of the house is completely hidden by the vast amount of flowers that the kind lady who runs the place keeps. Both evening and morning meals are fabulous. The dishes keep on coming and coming, seemingly without end. The best part is of course that it’s very affordable, costing less than most regular hotel rooms - probably even less than what I would expect to pay for the food alone.
