Ren and Stimpy!

In the great Hall of he Justice League are asslembled he greatest forces for Good ever known. Superman. Wonder Woman. Aquaman. Batman and Robin.

These are The Superfriends.

And they got a really cool theme song!!!

Blossom!
Comander and the leader
Bubbles!
She is the joy and the laughter
Buttercup!
She’s the toughest fighter
Powerpuffs save the Day!

Fighting crime, trying to save the world
here they come just in time
The Powerpuff girls

Fighting crime, trying to save the world
here they come just in time
The Powerpuff girls
Poewerpuff!

Dexters lab has a good song too.

Of course the classics,

Flintstones, Josie and the Pussycats, Sigmund and Seamonsters

diamud, I love that tune and was gonna mention it myself. One correction, that line should be “Fred, if you’re afraid…” Remember SC’s sidekick, Fred? And the Super Chicken battle-charge clucks…hehehe

Of course, along with Super Chicken, I must mention “George, George, George of the Jungle, strong as he can be! Watch out for that >CRASH< tree!”

For sheer musical quality, nothing beats the original WB-animated Batman title theme, back when it was on Fox. Dark, moody, violent, and adult, like the show was (the move to the WB network watered down the series, alas).

Sentimental favorites: the remixed theme used on the second season of The Transformers, and any of the G.I. Joe themes.

Old-school fun: George of the Jungle. 'nuff said.

The Powerpuff Girls theme
Josie and the Pussycats theme
The Underdog theme was good too.
Freakazoid was cool!!(I still have most of the word’s memorized) “His brain is overloading…It’s got a chocolate coating…”

Go here,Mr. Blue Sky: http://soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/ ,and download your Roadrunner song. And many, many more including(cast my vote here) the theme from the Bugs Bunny Show. “…and oh what heights we’ll hit,on with the show this is it!”

Hercules
Hero of song and story
Hercules
hmm,hmm,hmm,hmmm humm glory
fighting with his might
with the strength of ten
ordinary men
He’s the mighty
Hercules!

or something like that.
Overture,
dim the lights
this is it
we’ve hit the heights
And oh what heights we’ll hit
On with the show
this is it!

(Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner)

Oh Lyllyan, go get it! Overture, burn the lights, this is it,the night of nights…http://soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/B/bbunny.wav Got it playing right now. -Thanks to Ed Jones, the guy who does this web site-

The closing theme of Bullwinkle, with Jay Ward’s made-up name

PONSONBY BRITT

in cheesy lights, exploding at the end.

For all you superfriends fans

Go on Napster and look for the remix of the theme song entitled “The Time is Now”. Excellent pulse pounder and I eagerly look for more like it.

This thread has been open for a week, and no one has mentioned The Tick? That’s some good cartoon music for ya.

Even now, when I hear an alarm clock like the one in the theme, my very first reaction is to think “Dum Dwee, dum dum dum dwee dow!”

Yeesh. I just had a paradigm collision inside my head, and I started to hear a chorus singing:

Speed Racer, that coyote’s after you…

I think I’m going to go lie down now…

– Bob

when in this world the headlines read
of those whose hearts are filled with greed
and rob and steal from those who need
to right this wrong with blinding speed
goes Underdog(underdog), Underdog(underdog)
speed of lightning
roar of thunder
fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog

Here’s my vote:

Spider-man, Spider-man
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size
Catches thieves, just like flies
Look out! Here comes the Spider-man!

Is he strong? Listen, Bud!
He’s got radioactive blood.
Can he swing from a thread?
Take a look overhead.
Hey there, there goes the Spider-man!

In the chill of night,
At the scene of the crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time

Spider-man, Spider-man
Friendly neighborhood Spider-man
Wealth and fame, he’s ignored
Action is his reward
To him, life is a great big bang-up
Wherever there’s a hang-up
You’ll find the Spider-man!

I recently bought the Spider-Man game for the Playstation and this song plays during the title screen. I was singing along like I was 7 again.

Now you know I can’t just leave these lyrics hangin’ here, all incomplete like that:

The Mighty Hercules
Hercules, hero of song and story,
Hercules, winner of ancient glory,
Standing for what’s right,
Fighting with his might,
With the strength of ten
Ordinary men!

Hercules, people are safe when near him,
Hercules, only the evil fear him,
Softness in his eyes,
Iron in his thighs,
Virtue in his heart,
Fire in ev’ry part
Of the mighty Herculeeeeeeeeeeeees!
(Sung by Johnny Mathis, I believe. Or Johnny Cash. One of them there Johnnies.)

And here’s a rather obscure one:
*You’re lucky
It’s plucky
His show is really ducky
All other shows seem yucky
Now that Plucky’s
On the air!

The writers
Are hackers
The something-something slackers
The actors are crackers
But what the hell, it’s free!

Plucky goes to Acme Loon to learn to be a star.
There’s other troopsters at the school – but who cares who they are?

So enjoy
Don’t be coy
And don’t fall for a decoy
It’s the Plucky Duck show, come and laugh … a … long.

(Doot doot, doo doo doo doo)

I also wrote this song!*

The music from Johnny Quest had everything going for it. It’s a scientific fact that music like that cannot be made without marijuana.

Also, allow me this opportunity to extol the genius once again on this board of Raymond Scott, the experimental composer of the tunes used in the classic Warner Bros. cartoons. His “Powerhouse” is still uesed as the WB logo music. And the also-cribbed song “Dinner music for Hungry Cannibals” had, in his origianl arrangement, a pioneering example of music played underwater.

I loved the theme to Star Blazers (the show). Wish I had the words…but it was incredibly cool to me.

You’re lucky, it’s Plucky,
“I’m absolutely ducky,”
Other shows seem yucky now that Plucky’s on the air!
“I’m wacky, I’m quacky,”
He’s an egomaniac-y,
Hamton plays the lackey of this duck extraordinaire!

Who knows the way to close his endless babbling beak?
Drop an anvil down upon his feathery physique!

Toast him, roast him, the show will still be most him,
“It’s THE PLUCKY DUCK SHOW and it’s on each week!”

His antics are frantic, at times he gets romantic,
“My talent’s so gigantic it’ll burst from your TV!”

The writers are hackers, the artists all went crackers,
The actors are yakkers,
“But don’t complain – it’s free!”

Plucky goes to Acme Loo to learn to be a star,
There’re other toonsters at the school,
“But who cares who they are …”

So enjoy, don’t be coy,
And don’t fall for a decoy,
It’s THE PLUCKY DUCK SHOW, come and laugh along!

… “I also wrote this song!”
