Favorite cat colors

Meow-ve

Or purrple.

I like them all! However, I am partial to black cats and flame points, and torties and tabbies.

Also, this isn’t a coat color, but I love the white stripe that some cats have running down their bellies. Bonus if they have the white shirt front, too. A white spot on the tummy of an otherwise solid colored or patterned cat is good, too. It gives me a target to tickle.

You would love to meet my Eliot then! He’s not that bright, but very lovable.

I love orange shorthair cats best, and the late Moriarty was a prime example.

I love torties too, but haven’t had one of my own.

Marmalade, hands down. Every orange tabby I’ve met has been extraordinarily sweet and affectionate. No clue why that is.

For looks - the tuxedo cat is really stylin’. The one I shared walls with for several years was a very nice cat also.

I couldn’t say which I like the best. Orange boys are always such cool mellow cats, but I guess since I have tuxedo kitties now I’ll go with them. They have the best nature by far.

Pretty much anything but solid white - they tend to get dirty and/or sunburned.

Fluffy tuxedo cats are very cute.

I favor calicos and torties, both regular and dilute. Right now I have a patched tortie persian, a black persian, a flamepoint persian, and and ginger and white tabby.

Orange cats. I don’t have any since my 19 year old passed in April.
Next would be Tuxedos, but I haven’t had any since the last one I had passed away sveral years ago. I tend to retire a color after having special cats with that color. Currently, my favorite is a silvery lynx point. My two youngest kitties sport those colors.

My favorite cat colors are all black and all gray. We currently have a gray kitten and a gray tuxedo kitten. The gray fur is least noticeable on fabric, but the kittens always win at hide and seek, since they’re basically shadow colored.

I love solid gray kitties. There’s one in my neighborhood that is super-sweet, cuddly, and very cute. I also adore little white feet on any color of cat.

Definitely! One of the sweetest gray cats I’ve ever met is a polydactyl – it’s fun watching him move those extra toes when he’s playing and pouncing.

I grew up with siamese seal points and have a soft spot for that colouring. As a kid we had visited relatives with a lilac point and I thought it looked odd until we returned home and I discovered just how dark the seal points are.

I love blue cats. We got a new cat that was son of the aforementioned lilac point and a neighbouring black cat. The result was a gorgeous blue grey cat. He had the sleek body style and coat of a siamese, and solid blue colouring of a Russian Blue.

For me, it’s not so much the color of fur as it is the length. I much prefer long-haired to short-haired cats–I just like seeing a big ol’ furball with a nice fluffy tail.

Not that I don’t love my own short-haired calico…I just like the big fuzzies, too.

I loved my black himalayan Banzai he was old school, none of the fugly flat faced shit that is popular. I also had an immense black fluffy maine coon cat back when I was in high school [sorry, no picture, it was predigital and all my stuff got fried when my parents house burned down] named Pyewackett who arrived pregnant [we think she got out during shipping … but she had the cutest kittens]

I love the classic siamese, seal more than flame point if given the choice. I would not mind an abbysinnian or a russian blue, though right now I have a cute jellicle named jezibel we have no plans to get any more cats until she is gone.

We normally get used cats from the vet or shelters so what we end up with tends to be sort of pot luck. I may name my next kitteh Sportula [latin for pot luck]
