I have three year old twin girls and Reflections is one of their favorite songs. So much so that when I start to sing along they go “No Daddy! No Daddy! Stop!! Its’ MY song!”.
I adore Part of Your World, always have. I also like We Are Siamese, and I’m surprised that it’s not on many people’s lists.
I love every cut from the album Stay Awake , Hal Willner producing all the major (as of 1990) Disney songs with the edgiest available talent of the day. Paul Westerberg’s version of “Cruella DeVil” and Los Lobos’ “I Wanna Be Like You” are real standouts. The Roches, Michael Stipe and Natalie Merchant collaborate on a gem of a version of “Little April Showers.”
I’ve always liked “When I See an Elephant Fly” from Dumbo. Which comes in right after the Pink Elephants song, which is also lots of fun.
I could stand the sight of worms,
And look at microscopic germs,
But technicolor pachyderms
Are really too much for me!
And “Won’t Say I’m In Love” from Hercules is one of my absolute favorites.
Ursula’s song from The Little Mermaid; the Disney villians always have so much style.
And I can’t remember the name, but didn’t Big Mama the owl sing a love song for Vixie and Todd in The Fox and the Hound? I haven’t watched that one in a long time.
Yeah – “The Best of Friends”. But I always zap through it when it shows up on our CDs.
I think so, but I wasn’t the first to mention it. Angel of the Lord got there first.
