Someone had a signature that was a quote from another doper about how something was akin to “being ordained an Anglican Bishop by the Food and Drug Administration” that I thought was funny as hell, but I can’t find it any more.
One quirk in the software is that, when you change your sig line, the new one is retrofitted to all your old posts. Sometimes, the new sig isn’t a good fit in your old post.

I haven’t seen a sig in a really long time. I’m going to click mine on for this post. I haven’t ever changed it, and I’m sure you all think it’s boring, but when I first heard it I laughed for almost twenty minutes.
Reading CandidGamera’s sig line was the thing that finally made me pony up the cash and join as a paying member. If there was a chance to be impregnated by such a genius I was not one to let it pass by.
I like GingerOfTheNorth’s too.
CalMeacham and Bosda always hae unique, clever, changing sig lines. My personal favorite was an obscure pun by one of the two of these guys (I forget who), something to the effect of:
Klattu loved to watch television. His favorite shows were Baretta reruns and Nicktoons such as Jimmy Neutron. He often informed his friend Gort of this fact.

I thought CalMeacham’s recent sig about the “Stannic Verses” was very clever.
I loved his French Anion Soup for some reason.
Someone’s sig has a link to this online article, accompanied by this quote: “The last five minutes of St. Elsewhere is the only television show, ever. Everything else is a daydream.” I’ve been a big St. E fan for years, so that sig caught my eye (and I subsequently bookmarked the link).
