W. C. Fields was a fountain of faux swearing. One of his most used was “Godfrey Daniels!” Say it like “God-DAMN-it!” and you’ll see why.
BTW, Muttley’s under-his-breath curse was (to the best of my knowledge):
Harry Harrison uses “bowb” throughout the “Bill, the Galactic Hero” series.
And now I remember “jhup” and “bleb” in Samuel Delany’s Empire Star … which are not only swearwords, but kind of a plot point, too.

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned. I’ll throw in the creative use of ‘Finagle’ from some of Larry Niven’s books, especially ringworld. " (Finagle’s heavy hand!!!)
Also, in ‘Firefly’ didn’t the characters often just slip into chinese to swear a blue streak? (Without the fox censors being able to do much about it LOL.)
