Ribeye steak seared and slightly charred outside with the inside done to a moist pink. This steak is served as a sandwich on a kaiser (however you spell it) roll, fresh homemade American fries with a greek salad on the side…heavy with Feta cheese and I’d like a side of fried Okra along with that. To drink I’d have a glass of iced tea, sweet tea, of course and also a Coke over crushed ice.

I don’t imagine any dessert in my favorite meal. I digs my meat and potatoes.

For me it would have to be:

1 Doz. Freshly shucked malpec oysters and 1 large dungeoness crab washed down with a nice wheat beer, usually Blanche De Chamblis.

After that I’m pretty set.

a cup of Black Angus’ Baked Potato soup.
a small plate of cha-shu pork and sesame chicken.
Mom’s spaghetti!
a couple of slices of Pizza Inn’s Beef & Black Olive pizza (not necessarily the best pizza in the world [far from it actually], but damn I miss this stuff).
Chicken Chow Mein w/pan fried noodles from Hung Far Low’s (seriously!) in Portland, Oregon (plus rice).
a small cut of prime rib from Gulliver’s.
fresh pineapple.
grilled corn on the cob.

white cake w/chocolate whipped cream frosting.

Peptol Bismol.
…uhh, not a very exciting list but man…it does it for me.

Murgh Musallam, Peelay chaaval, peas & Naan.
Stovies, only if my dad makes it.
Christmas dinner-Turkey with sausage meat and stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, brussels sprouts, & yorkshire pudding.
For dessert, the thickest, creamiest cheescake from The Baker’s Crust. Do not defile it with canned “fruit” crud.

Although Ruth Chris’ is very good, I prefer Charley’s Steakhouse. I think they are only here in Florida though.

Perfect meal at Charley’s:

Filet Mignon (medium) and lobster tail. That’s all, except for a good Merlot to wash it down with. YUM.

Mr. Golf and I are going on our annual trip to Cape Cod next week. We have a tradition of going down to the docks our second night there and buying about 20 lobsters (there are normally 6 or 7 friends with us) and cooking them at home, just spreading newspaper over the dining room table and stuffing ourselves until we can’t move. Double YUM!

I’ll do the same thing Satan did.

Breakfast
Homemade corned beef hash with two eggs over easy (hard whites, runny yolks)
Cheese blintzes
Fresh melon
Orange juice with no pulp–I can’t stand drinking chunks
Coffee with cinnamon hazelnut Coffeemate creamer

Lunch
Normally, this would be a lean corned beef reuben from Barry’s, but I already had corned beef for breakfast, so…
1/2 lb. hamburger, cooked medium rare, with cheddar cheese, mushrooms, sauteed onions, and A-1
Fresh potato salad, the kind with eggs in it
Small Caesar salad
Hard cider, preferably from on tap
Slice of cheesecake from Barry’s for dessert

Dinner
1 dozen chilled raw oysters with Tabasco
A thick slice of the rarest standing rib roast I can find, with a sauce made of madeira and stilton cheese for it
Fresh steamed asparagus with butter
Sauteed mushrooms
Yorkshire pudding
Crusty fresh-baked sourdough bread with real butter (none of that “I Can’t Believe You’re Trying to Convince Me This is Butter” crap)
Glass of wine or three, probably a Merlot
Chocolate Terrine with Bailey’s Irish Cream sauce for dessert

Midnight Snack
Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies
White Castle
Really good pizza (Flying Pizza extra cheese, or Donatos Chicken Vegy or Hawaiian)
Fresh lemonade

When Cooking:

Escargot
-Vichyssoise (cold leak, potato, & cream soup - great in the summer)
-Butterflied, grilled leg of lamb in a honey/lemon/garlic/rosemary marinade
-Mashed potatoes
-Fresh corn on the cob
-Cheese, fresh baked bread

When eating out
Too many choices, but Ruth’s Chris steaks are hard to pass up

Shaky Jake

And Nekochan, after having that real vietnamese Pho’ you don’t need to worry about expensive embalming processes when you die. (Several Pho’ makers in vietnam were caught adding formeldahyde to their noodles.)
And while I find Pho’ passable, I much prefer Udon when it comes to noodle soups.

My favorite meal? Liver and lima beans. Really.

Steak, sushi, and korean style ribs.

Narile:

Are you serious about the formaldehyde? My heart is broken. My dream shattered.

I too like udon, especially with tempura on top. And cold somen in the summertime…aaah, noodles.

I have eaten chow mein nearly every day since December(for dietary reasons, started at 265 now at 208.:)) everything at this point sounds mouth watering. When I sit down and treat myself to a meal it will be a huge filet mignon, angel hair pasta with a creamy morel sauce, fried morel mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. Something extremely chocolatey for dessert.

Why would they do that? What, is it somehow profitable? Is formaldehyde cheaper than beef broth? :stuck_out_tongue:

two fingers of Sheep Dip, neat (a lovely pure malt scotch)

smoked salmon with chopped red onions and caviar
with glass of Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc

a rack of lamb, medium
garlic smashed potatoes
fresh asparagus w/ lemon
glass (or two) of Merlot

individual orange dessert souffle

decaf coffee
