Favorite Muppet

I’ve been watching old clips from the Muppet Show (Mahna Mahna) and I know a new Muppet movie is coming out in November, so I’ve got muppets on my mind.

Here is a list of major muppets List of Muppets - Wikipedia
I’ve always had a soft spot for Beaker. He always looks so bewildered! But then again Animal has that wild-cool thing going on.

Who is your favorite muppet?

The Swedish Chef. Bork bork bork!

Gonzo and Rizzo make a great duo. I often see a lot of people say they don’t like Pepe, but I find him hilarious.

I think, though, my general favorite is Sam the Eagle. He’s the ultimate straight man. Eagle. Muppet. Thing. Whatever.

AN-I-MAL!
Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha.

And Beaker.

I was always partial to Cookie Monster, Grover and Oscar the Grouch, but if you only count characters from The Muppet Show, I’ll have to go with Gonzo. All the (chicken) ladies love him!

Gonzo was always a personal hero to me; He was such a weirdo. Beaker runs a close second.

I have an irrational hatred of Fozzie.

I am so in love with Kermit the Frog. I ried when Jim Henson died.

Agreed.
My favorite was a minor character, the saxophone player. He reminded me of a guy I once dated.

But after that, the Swedish Chef. And Beaker.

It’s a toss-up between the Swedish Chef and Waldorf and Statler.

Kermit, by far! But apparently, the editor of that wiki article plumps for Statler & Waldorf. They’re listed twice.

You mean Zoot.

Mine are the only two I’ve actually met: Rizzo and Pepe the Prawn.

Pepe’s personal ad.

It’d be a two way tie between Animal and Beaker, favorite full-body muppet costume? Sweetums

Least favorite muppets? Rizzo, Pepe, and Fozzie

I love Sweetums, I don’t know why!

I like Beaker, too. I’ve been thinking about ordering one of James Hance’s muppet mashup prints: The Meep.

Grover.

Kerrrrr meeeeee!!! I adore Kermit! But “Sweetums” is a close second because he reminds me of the monsters from Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.

I was taking drum lessons as a kid when The Muppets were on the air. Animal was my guy, all the way.

Scred, of course,. The sex scenes alone put him way above the rest.

For better known Muppets, it’s Gonzo (at least, the original version – he’s softened over the years).

Gotta give a shout-out to Rowlf.
Nothing ever fazes him. All hell could be breaking loose around him and he’ll just keep on playing his piano, taking it all in, secretly amused at the absurdity of it all.

I like to think I’m kind of like Rowlf, but I could never be as cool.

If I have to choose it’s Animal. After all, he bowls overhand! But Beaker and the Swedish Chef are cool as well.
