Would that be Solo?

Does anyone remember the sports drink AllSport made in the 90s? Its still being made, but back then it was carbonated. It wasn’t popular because of that but I was a fan.

The original 5th Avenue candy bar that was topped with 2 chocolate-covered almonds until the mid-60s.

Could be - I was there in the late 80’s and it was pretty much the only non-Pepsi/non-CocaCola soda available.

Much longer than that. I remember when they switched over, pretty sure it was in the 90s sometime. 5th Avenue was my favorite peanut butter molasses bar, except when I could get my hands on a Clark, except when I could get my hands on a Zagnut.

Which were always stale, because no one bought them except for me. Got to the point where I liked em stale.

Zagnut.

Peppermint (or Grape) suglarless Bubble Yum. Why they kept the worst flavor is beyond my ken.

Red Lobster: Langostinos and shrimp (dinner entree). Hush puppies (I understand they still sell them in the south).

Taco Bell: Cinnamon Crispas

For a replacement try Izze Clementine. They also have pomegranate, blackberry, and others. Billed as sparkling juices so sometimes they’re with the sodas and sometimes with juice. Really very good.

Can’t remember the name of it but when I was a kid Kellogg had a cereal that consisted of sugar smacks, sugar pops, and spanish peanuts.

I’ll have some Metformin with that.

yes but you forget that back then we played virtual simulation games O U T D O O R S. All that sugar was burned up before lunch.

Gorilla Milk

Squirt (grapefruit soda). I can’t find it anywhere now.

If you want to put up the money, they’ll ship it to you!

I would say Bubble Up but apparently it’s still made.

Choco’lite - Aero bars are not the same.
Tuna Twist - The only way I would eat tunafish sandwiches. “I’m Sir Celery. I’m Miss Parsley. We are the Onion twins.”

Puffa Puffa Rice Cereal
Wax Harmonica Candy
Gaucho cookies

Thank you. I’ve been trying to remember the name of that candy bar for years.

Pommac soda

Sold in the mid-sixties by Dr Pepper, it looked and bubbled like champagne, and had a taste like … well, I can’t describe it.
Partly because I have tasted nothing like it, and it has been 40+ years since I have had any.

It is a popular Finnish/Swedish drink, and still available there, but I have found no one in the USA that is currently distributing it.

The reason it was pulled from U.S. distribution was because:

  1. It contained Aspartame, and
  2. It had a tendency to ferment in the bottle.

You can probably find these right now in Walgreens stores. We got several cases of them a couple of months ago for our Suggestive Sell Hershey’s month, and most people had never heard of them, so they didn’t sell so well. Go check soon, because they may be sent back after the first of the year!

This and all the other flavors are still available in South Georgia and Florida, for sure. Not sure where else. My dad is pretty addicted to Nehi Peach, and I remember stopping in the middle of the night at a closed gas station and getting it out of a vending machine (glass bottles!) when I was a kid.
