Favorite Syndicated Radio Shows

I like to listen to Mark and Brian in the morning, Doctor Demento when I can find him, Doctor Dean Edell in the afternoon, BUT…
Phil Henry!!
I just started listening to his show last week, and my reactions were:
1st day-“My ghod, his guest is such an idiot!”
2nd day-“My ghod, two morons in a row?, Phil Henry is such an idiot!”
3rd day-light bulb flashing on “My ghod, I am such an idiot!!!”

The show is a beacon that attracts every stupid person in America-the clueless, the closeminded, the knee-jerkers.

I don’t have access to many syndicated shows. The only one I can get is Stern out of Toronto. His show starts at 3am our time…I’m up then, but rarely listen.

I have to admit a certain perverse fondness for the Don and Mike show.

Mike Gallagher and Papa Joe Chevallier (sp?)

The Bob and Tom Show

you can even listen online!

LEX & TERRY !!! Mostly in FL & the Southeast.

…yeah, Mark & Brian. Been listening to them for about ten years. Sometimes racist, sometimes sexist, usually sophomoric, often moving, almost always funny. Anyone who’s listened to them regularly know that they are good, caring people inside although lately, they’ve both been getting a little cantankerous.
I hate it when they go on vacation.

Awright, I’ll admit it…I’m a Joan Rivers fan.

I had never really realized that she was/is a stand-up comedian. The first I had heard of her was that awful '80s “can we talk” thing. So what did I know? As far as I was concerned, all she did was make catty comments about Oscar dresses and hawk costume jewelry on QVC. But then I discovered her on radio. Damn, is she funny. (WOR from 6-8 pm, and syndicated elsewhere)

It would have to be Johnboy & Billy’s Big Show but only because it is the ONLY syndicated radio show I listen to.

I don’t have all of these in my listening area, but I rarely change the dial if I’m somewhere else that does bring their shows in:[ul][li]The Howard Stern Show[]Car Talk[]The Allan Handelman Show[]Dr. Demento[]Fresh Air with Terry Gross[/ul][/li]__________________

NPR’s “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” - Carl Kassel does some great imitations! (Once, when I was listening and driving, I laughed so hard that I wiped out a neighbor’s hedge and mailbox. Now I stay home when its on. Much safer for the neighbors and me.)

G Gordon Liddy…

He’s always good for a laugh when he spews his right wing stuff…Other times too.

i used to listen to art bell all the time.

the antichrist line was the best. listeners that believed they were the antichrist could call in and explain why.

now that’s entertainment.

Phil Hendrie has been in LA for a while on KFI, and I think he went syndicated maybe a year ago. The show pissed me off until I figured out what was really going on (I’m more of an idiot than you - it took me more than 3 days :)). Now I think it’s hilarious, although it has its dull shows.

Dean Edell is only aired on weekend afternoons here in LA (also KFI), and I really like him. Just wish they aired him live, 'cause it would be a damn sight better than current weekday afternoon offerings in this market.

I used to be able to listen to Bob and Tom out of Hartford, but the station no longer carries it. It was the only syndicated show that was genuinely funny–Stern gets old after awhile.

OK, since we’re including NPR, let me be the first to add that I like Prairie Home Companion, even though the host is an unrepentant liberal

Yes! we have a tranlator here that rebroadcasts a signal out of Nashville that carries Bob and Tom!

They have my vote!

good call thinksnow!

The NPR Triumvirate-

Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me
What Do You Know? starring Michael Feldman
Prarie Home Companion
Not on anymore, but I always got a terrific kick out of Art Bell.

Mark & Brian in the morning, then Jim Rome.

Ummm…set to 1150 AM in LA, are we?

I’d just like to say that you have great taste, and your hubby’s a lucky guy!

I listen to Jim Rome on the way to work. I’d listen to him AT work if I could get any reception (I have an interior office).
