Favorite use of Language?

Post a quote were you think the language that was used in the quote was beautiful. The substance of the quote does not have to matter, just the way the words are arranged and the words used to convey the message.

Sappho was good at this. Some translations are different that others but here are some good quotes:

“Black dream
you come when sleep comes,
sweet god, truly dreadful agony”

“A smile playing about your immortal lips”

And then there is Thomas Jefferson:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”

Every line in the poem The Rose by William Blake.

O Rose thou art sick.
The invisible worm,
That flies in the night
In the howling storm:

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

I’m not quite sure what it all means, but I like the sound of “thy bed of crimson joy” especially. This poem shows that you don’t need a lot of words to make a good read.
