Anybody remember Zero Candy Bars? I liked those. Nowadays you only see them in decrepit old vending machines in autobody shops.

They’re in the vending machines at the call center I work at and I’ve bought them a few times in the year I’ve worked there. They taste great with fruit punch – kinda like chocolate covered cherries.

I love chocolate covered gummi bears, which used to be very hard to find - now some of the theaters around here have started carrying them again.

Agreed - chocolate covered gummi bears are awesome.

I like those watermelon and mango flavored suckers from Mexico that are covered with chili powder. Also the tamarind paste that comes in an odd container that kinda looks like a syringe.

Yes! That stuff is wonderful.

I like circus peanuts, but I can’t eat them more often than every few months. So about three times a year I’ll go buy a bag of circus peanuts, open them and leve them open for a day so they get that stiff, crusty outside. That’s a big part of the circus peanut experience for me, the hard outside.

Mmmmmmm…well seasoned circus peanuts. Just like very fresh fruit that needs to be ripened a bit before consumption, the longer the better to get that faint ‘snap’ when you bite in. Where’s that eyes-rolling-back-bliss smilie when you need it?
Another yes vote for Necco wafers. But I only like the clove, licorice, and wintergreen. So I split the package with my daughter who likes the rest.
My other favorite weird candy used to be Clove Lifesavers. They’re wonderful, but apparently they stopped making them. I must have been the only buyer.
