My FB account is jacked up, so I cannot simply post links to Facebook (FB) directly. I have to type in the full link. Usually, FB understands this is a link and will automatically make it a hyperlink. Then, other times, it won’t. Does anyone know a trick to make FB recognize a URL as a hyperlink? The prime suspect is the way FB will break a link because the text is too long, but is there still a way around this?
Sometimes it takes Facebook a while to process the text to a hyperlink. Do you wait a few seconds before deleting it?
Well, it took some doing, but I figured it out. For those who’d like to know, the trick it seems is to start typing the URL from www… Do not include the “http:/” or “https:/” intro to the web address. FB must not understand what that is and therefore will not convert your URL to a hyperlink. Problem solved!

Definitely not true, as http addresses are parsed perfectly well for me. Not sure what your problem is but that’s not it.

You do know that should be http:// or https://, right? (Two forward slashes and not just one.) If not, I think I see your problem.
