Just a lame attempt…
well, let’s try it this way
Can I get some help here? When I do it the way it says in the FAQ link to vBulletin hyperlink coding, I get this:
What’s the “/sdmb/” doing there? How did it get there? I didn’t put it there. How do I make it go away? I really wanna learn how to do hyperlinks.
Hey! It worked! Just use the url /url commands at beginning and end encased in brackets and leave off the http:// stuff. I almost amaze myself sometimes.
Yeah, I can make it work that way too. But I want to learn how to do it the other way, you know, just a one or two word link, instead of the whole address. It just looks cooler that way, and it makes people think you actually know what you’re doing.
Ummmm…like this?
Oops! Try this: reply to my message with the hyperlink and it should show the code sequence.
Well, what exactly did you type into this little box to make that work?
url=“http://www.angelfire.com/myband/guitartrag/”]Cristi’s husband’s homepage[/url
Just type the above with an opening bracket at the beginning and a closing bracket at the end…I think.
Nope. Still not working. What am I doing wrong here?
What exactly is not working, Cristi? It seems to me like it’s working just fine.
I think the “url=” tag requires the “http://”, so that using it with just “ww_.etc” doesn’t work. In your second post, it looks like you left out the colon after http, and in your later posts you aren’t using http with the “url=”. Either that or something else.
Yay! That one worked! Yay! By jove, I think I’ve got it!
