I’m satisfied, finally, that we have good information on the matter.
And so, yeah, the FBI is de-escalating.

I’d really recommend against encouraging crazy people into violence.
Lol, what do you think they’re watching and listening to, 24/7?
I don’t care about them. I care about the reader who comes along and doesn’t see me mocking them and then construes that the lack of push back means the idiot has a point. Someone has to fight this shit, Sage.
Hey John, as an acolyte of dark brandon have you considered giving your profile picture laser eyes?
are they certain that all the missing items are in florida? what about his other residences?
Well, I did see several people dressed like Uncle Sam, and at least three large TRUMP banners on an overpass in Seattle Tuesday afternoon…
Lol. Guy can’t even get a spontaneous caravan together any more.
So it was just a document recovery action? No prosecution? Again?
If it were you or me, we’d be wearing orange jumpsuits by now.
AFAICT the criminal investigation into allegations of Trump’s mishandling of classified documents is ongoing.
That’s my understanding as well.
All you need to do is take apart their arguments. No more, no less.
Naw, I need to hit them emotionally. I need to show the others it’s all pretense. As it is.
But so…with it being confirmed that it really was an expedition to pull back things that didn’t belong to Trump, the questions turn to:
And how, for a Congressional subpoena, does it clean itself of the “taint”?
But wait, there’s more!
So, the place was also ‘raided’ in June and dipshit didn’t say a thing.
Given the high-risk maneuver this is for DOJ and the FBI, I tend to think that there was a very good reason to believe that TFG was not only in possession of classified material, but that it was either being so carelessly stored and handled that it posed a national security risk just for being there, or that TFG was using it in some unauthorized/illegal/dangerous way. Given his inherent nature, my bet would be on some kind of enrichment scheme; sale of some stuff to the Saudis, for example. Possibly something he would use for blackmail (and, hence, personal enrichment).
Otherwise, I don’t see why DOJ or the National Archives wouldn’t just proceed through more mundane and less exciting means to acquire the docs. There has to be some kind if time-sensitive factor in the monumental decision to do this.
Also, if the reason for executing the search warrant was simply to re-acquire documents that TFG shouldn’t have had, then the process is essentially complete and someone from the Federal government would have made a public statement by now. The fact that the Feds have been silent suggests to me that the search warrant is just one (admittedly dramatic) piece of a larger investigation.
I suspect it will be a little while before we get the whole picture (or even a bigger piece of the whole picture). I, for one, will be staying tuned.
Not 100% it’s related but:
The feds can’t get a criminal search warrant just to recover property. The affiant has to provide reasonable cause that a federal offence is occurring, and that there is evidence relevant to that federal offence at the location to be searched.
You and me are not an ex-president with heavily-armed cult-like followers.
I guess June was too soon to turn it into a political/ fundraising issue for his impending campaign announcement.
I am REALLY hoping that this is the case. Further, I hope that there is some iron-clad evidence of an attempt by Trump personally to sell classified (military?) information to the Saudis, accompanied by video/audio/direct testimony. I hope they have him handing over classified info to an undercover agent in exchange for an envelope of (marked) cash.
