I’m a bit dismayed at the recent push to stop referring to him with monikers like “CFSG.”
Someone replied to my comment, ‘Roger works for ghe [sic] DNC/China. I have his IP[.]’ I told her that like her Messiah, she is a liar.
I would have thought a big shot like trump would have a hardshell case for his Gibson.
My assumption is that he fired them as a delaying tactic: “We can’t go to trial for another six months because my new lawyers need time to get up to speed on the case.”
I do hope that one box marked for the bedroom found the way there. If a foreign agent did find their way to these boxes, they would have to go through so much junk to get to “the goods”.
If Smith indicts trump on the Capitol riot charges, that would likely be in DC.
Hopefully they can get Loose Cannon off the case, as she has absolutely no business being on this case at all. I hope they can get her off it and that it doesn’t take as long as last time.
I’ve heard that he can run for office even if he were in jail or prison or whatever, but can he run, win, and serve from another country? That question is probably a hijack, though. I would personally be thrilled if he fled the country, as long as he never came back and couldn’t run for president ever again. He needs to either be in prison or GTFO. Of course by then maybe some Republican would win the presidency and pardon him.

I believe we’ll know soon. No point in letting her handle any part of this case, including arraignment.
Were I Jack Smith, I’d file the motion asking her to recuse as soon as possible, then follow the chain up to the Eleventh Circuit if she declined. If my motion is successful, that’s wonderful! And if my motion fails, then at least she’s on notice that every single move she makes in the trial will be challenged and subject to review.
That said, I will trust Smith’s judgment in this matter, however he chooses to handle it.
My guess is that something in the indictment was directly contrary to something Trump assured them was true. Sure, they knew he was a liar, but they set ground rules about lying to them, and he violated those agreements. A complete guess.
The speculation I heard on TV last night was that once they enter an appearance in a criminal case, they cannot withdraw without permission of the court, (rarely granted) and they would have therefore insisted on their entire fee up front. Trump, of course, would be reluctant to do that.
That’s exactly what I thought when I saw that.

If Trump splits, I would be concerned about how many classified docs he could take with him. Even if its just on a few thumb drives squirrelled away.
They could be anywhere, or in anyone’s possession.
And if we can’t bring him to justice, the whole system has failed.
Somewhere in all the news coverage of this I heard some folks say that Trump is not a flight risk because he’s among the most recognized people in the world. I’m not sure I agree with their reasoning; people might recognize him wherever he goes, but that wouldn’t stop him from going.
For Pete’s sake. He’s not going to run. If he runs he can’t hold rallies. He needs thousands of cheering people more than he needs oxygen. The rallies are coming soon. And he’ll say things that make his 1/6 speech look like the Pledge of Allegiance.
Air raid sirens would make quick work of his rallies. It would be a real shame if someone were to stoop so low.
He has a private plane. Being recognized isn’t really an issue.
He’s not going to run. He doesn’t have that kind of courage in him. Besides, it wouldn’t be just him. His SS detail and plane crew would also have to be willing to be forever exiles. Ain’t gonna happen, no matter how good your drugs are.
They would think it’s just a normal flight to Saudi Arabia. They wouldn’t have to know he was planning on staying, and they can fly back without him.
Considering his authoritarian mindset, the phrasing is disturbing.
