Someone should tell the folks on Fox. According to them, all the FBI had to do was ask for the records and Trump would have handed them over. Like he always does.

FoxNews keeps stressing that the place was searched indiscriminately, and that the boxes that were seized were not inspected beforehand. And at least one talking head on Fox has intimated that evidence would be planted by the FBI to get Trump. So there’s the excuse we can expect if there really is something criminal that emerges from the raid.
ETA: I can’t stand Fox, but I like to know what they are spewing to their followers.
It amuses me that Trump thinks the DOJ and FBI are being weaponized against him.
What the hell does he think he did during his term?
I’m pretty tired of the regular stream of “oh, something is happening!” followed by not much. I hope this leads to something…

Thanks for that. I watched about five to ten minutes, and not much was happening. Until they showed a reporter speaking to a camera. I don’t know what news organization he was reporting for, but I’ll assume CNN, as there was a man behind the reporter, holding a “Fake News is CNN” sign, and shouting, “CNN! Fake news!” over and over.
The Reuters camera operator spoke with the man, who regurgitated all the expected talking points (“witch hunt,” “what about Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden,” “Trump ordered National Guard to the Capitol, but Pelosi nixed it” etc. etc. etc.).
I don’t know what they were gathering for; they were pretty calm and didn’t seem to be spoiling for a fight. Maybe they didn’t know what else to do, so they just gathered.
OH the humanity!
They’ve stopped the live feed, but you can watch the hour-plus that they recorded. It’s dull in spots, but in others it’s absolutely horrifying, as people spew hatred and conspiracy theories, insisting that the FBI is there to plant evidence, Trump won, etc. etc.
Finding cartons full of documents that should be in the National Archives are a lot easier to prove than sedition. Like you, I feel any conviction will do.
Since we are still in the speculation stage of this, still going with the sale of state secrets, possibly being negotiated at that bizarre Golfing with the Saudis tournament Trump threw a couple of weeks ago.
I think the cherry on top of this raid is that nefarious intent isn’t even required. Some of those documents are so secret they cannot even be described. Just having them is all kinds of illegal no matter who you are. Trump does not have some blustering defense about politics that he can fall back on here. He’s screwed.

Speculation stage still, but they sure as hell didn’t raid the guy because of documents they had already clawed back…

But “cult” sums it up nicely. As per @CairoCarol 's post above, the cult members are gathering outside Mar-A-Lago. Pretty peaceful and calm, last I looked, but they gathered, as cult members do, when their Dear Leader is threatened somehow.
I hope nothing happens. I hope they just get tired, and go home to sleep.

I will say this much, speaking only for myself:
I was very excited when I heard the DOJ had achieved a search warrant and the FBI executed it. Then I found out is likely just about the documents that everyone has known Trump had for months, and now I expect absolutely zero to come from this. When I believed the search was somehow connected to January Sixth, I was delighted – now, meh.
Trump dodges high powered rifle fire on a routine basis, this pee shooter thing is the absolute least of his worries this week. He has to give a deposition this week in New York, he has trouble brewing in Georgia, and the high king of plausible deniability had a secretary “misfile” some documents??? Yawn.
It is possible to be (almost literally) the straw that broke the camel’s back, but I have serious doubts.
