Fear Itself 6/26

Tonight: a bride to be receives a message telling her that she is about to wed a serial killer.

Hmmmmm…

Wow, this is some really bad acting.

Acting? What acting?

It took me about one second to realize who the note was intended for.

Was I too slow?

Nope. My wife and I figured it out as soon as we saw the note. The only real mystery in the movie was the identity of the woman in the red scarf.

Man, the husband was a jerk. And what was up with the twin uncles, anyway?

That episode was just a mess.

I figured it out just from the brief preview they showed the week before. Then when it turned out the note said “the person you are about to marry” instead of “the man”, that convinced me I was right. Then they proceeded to really hammer it home throughout the hour.

The ending was a little weird, though. Were any of the bodies the brother/woman with red scarf had at home supposed to be people from the wedding? Some looked similar, like maybe the uncle or best man, but I wasn’t really sure if it was them or not.

It’s too bad they couldn’t have come up with something better for the Psych actors. I really like them on that show.

All of the heads in the home are the bride’s ex-boyfriends. It was mentioned early on in the episode that all of them mysteriously vanish on her. Apparently her and her brother were a team.

Of course, this raises so many questions which made this episode one bloody mess.

If SHE’s the serial killer, then why on earth is she acting afraid of her husband the whole episode?

If her and her brother kill together (which is apparent from him walking into the apartment with the heads and asking if she’s home yet) then why is he trying to tip off the groom about her?

When the priest said there was some incident at the groom’s parents’ wedding in the past, was that just a red herring? I mean, the twin uncle (just what WAS his deal?) said they died when he was 16, so the incident wasn’t their deaths (and of course, the groom couldn’t have killed them at the wedding if he wasn’t even born yet).

Who was doing all that knocking?

Too bad the scariest thing about that episode was the statues…
